Lindey Cookson

Early Years, Childcare & Every Child Matters

Lindey Cookson is a Senior Lecturer for Care and Education (Early Years) at Northumbria University, and Lead Assessor for the EYP provision at UNN.

She began her career as a Nursery Nurse, before moving into lecturing after graduating from Newcastle University. She then worked for a local authority EYDCP leading on Workforce Development for the Early Years and Childcare sector, which encouraged further her particular interests in early years policy and the children’s workforce agenda.
